Sophie specialises in fluid and heat flow modelling in geothermaland volcano-hydrothermal areas. She investigates controls on fluid pathwaysthrough the crust, and how to better integrate geophysical data to make modelsmore robust.

In the DeepHeat programme, Sophie will create models of superhotsystems and couple them with field and experimental results to betterunderstand how permeability changes and fluids flow around the brittle-ductiletransition.
