Sophie specialises in fluid and heat flow modelling in geothermal and volcano-hydrothermal areas. She investigates controls on fluid pathways through the crust, and how to better integrate geophysical data to make models more robust.

In the DeepHeat programme, Sophie will create models of superhot systems and couple them with field and experimental results to better understand how permeability changes and fluids flow around the brittle-ductile transition.
